Getting Started

Access the platform from any modern web browser. No installation required — everything runs in the cloud.

    Open the application URL in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge recommended).

    Click Register in the top navigation bar to create a new organizer account with your username and password.

    After registration, click Login and sign in to access your personal Tournament Dashboard.

Creating a Tournament

    Navigate to the Dashboard and click + Create Tournament.

    Fill in the tournament details:

    Click Save Tournament. You'll be redirected to your new Tournament Dashboard.

Adding & Managing Teams & Players

Manual Team & Player Creation

    On the Tournament page, click ➕ Add Team. Type the Team Name and save.

    Click Players next to the team to add players with their Jersey Number (1–15) and Name.
Bulk Upload via Excel
Upload all teams & players in one click using an Excel sheet!

    Click 📥 Download Template (.xlsx) to get the pre-formatted template with columns: Team Name | City/District | Player Name | Jersey Number | Role

    Fill in your teams & players in Excel and save the file as .xlsx or .csv.
  • 3
    Click 📤 Bulk Upload Teams (Excel), select your file, and click Upload & Process Excel.

    The system automatically creates all Teams and Players with their respective jersey numbers!

Changing Team Positions & Seeding Order

Before generating fixtures, customize seeding order to set specific match pairings or BYE assignments.

    Click 🔀 Reorder Teams on your Tournament Dashboard.

    Three ways to assign order:

    Option A — Checkboxes
    Click checkboxes in sequence: 1, 2, 3…

    Option B — Type Numbers
    Type position numbers in the Order # box.

    Option C — Up/Down
    Click Up or Down buttons to swap adjacent teams.

    Click Save Team Order (or Save Order & Generate Fixtures).

Generating Fixtures & Knockout Brackets

    Once teams are added and ordered, click ⚙️ Generate Fixtures on the Tournament Dashboard.

    The platform automatically calculates:
    • Total Matches (N − 1)
    • Upper Half & Lower Half team splits
    • Official KKFI BYE assignments (top seeds #1, #2, …)
  • 3
    Click Knockout Bracket Page to view the interactive tournament bracket.
The bracket updates automatically as match results are entered — no manual updates needed!

Official Live Match Scorer Guide

Mandatory Selection: Before any scoring action, you MUST select an Active Attacker AND an Active Defender. The system will block actions until both are selected.

Defender Batches

Defenders are grouped into Batch 1, Batch 2, and Batch 3 (3 runners per batch). Active runners display real-time stay timers. When all 3 runners of a batch are OUT, the next batch activates automatically.

Undo Last Action

    Click ↩️ Undo in the navigation bar or scoring panel.
  • 2
    Confirm the prompt. The system deletes the last ScoreEvent, restores subtracted points, and reverts the defender's out status.
Match Progression & Structure
Official Kho-Kho Rule: A Match consists of 2 Innings. Each Inning consists of 2 Turns (7 mins/turn, attacking and defending swapped). If scores are tied after 2 Innings, an Extra (3rd) Inning is played under Minimum Chase (first team to dismiss a defender wins immediately). If still tied, further additional innings (4th, 5th...) continue under Minimum Chase until someone scores first.

Closes Turn 1, advances to Turn 2 of the same Inning with roles swapped.

Closes Inning 1 to start Inning 2, or concludes Inning 2 (auto-triggers Inning 3 Minimum Chase if tied).

Extra Inning (Min Chase)
Plays tie-breaker Inning 3 (or 4th, 5th...) under sudden-death Minimum Chase.

Closes the match and declares the official winner.
